John Marks

John Marks is the author of three novels, including Fangland, published by Penguin Press in 2007,  and a work of non-fiction journalism, Reasons To Believe: One Man’s Journey Among The Evangelicals and The Faith He Left Behind, published by Ecco/Harper in 2008. He has worked as a 60 Minutes producer and foreign and domestic correspondent for US News & World Report. He co-directed the documentary Purple State of Mind with theologian and film-maker Craig Detweiler. Currently, he is a show runner for documentary specials and series on cable television. Most recently, he served as an executive producer of The Murder of Laci Peterson for A&E and Road To 9/11 on the History Channel. This summer, his documentary about the final recording session of the pop star late David Cassidy will appear on A&E.
